John Deere Tractor Won't Crank

Remove the small gauge single wire from the starters solenoid.

With key on, when i jump from battery + to starter.

Went to start it and get nothing but a loud click at back right of engine.

Battery is good and lights are bright when on.

I went to start it again and it will not crank.

Try engaging the starter manually.

Btw this tractor is in the far north woods of minnesota and the closest john deere.
