I was wondering if these heads would be decent or if they are junk?

They are light head castings and are prone to cracking.

Anyone know what the spark plug reach spec is for this head?

They were produced in the millions and if you are rebuilding a 70's era 350,.

The vortecs not only out flow the '882 head below 0. 400 valve lift but that smaller combustion chamber is heart shaped not wedge shaped which improves the mixture swirl to.

Now, we blueprinted the heads to 63. 3cc chamber size, and with all.

The heads have a tendency to crack, and are factory with 1. 940 intake valves and 1. 500 exhaust valves.

I did the math on pat kelleys calculator and i came up with 9. 2:1 with these heads and 10. 4:1 with 64cc heads that i planned on using.
